Terms and Conditions
Free Education
PyLabs is freely accessible for all learners. No hidden costs, mandatory subscriptions, or paywalls for core Python lessons.
You Own Your Code
Any Python script, algorithm, or project you author on PyLabs belongs entirely and exclusively to you.
Fair & Safe Use
Do not use PyLabs to store malicious software, abuse capacity budgets, or compromise sandbox security.
1. Agreement to Terms
Our mutual commitment when you access PyLabs:
2. Account Registration & Security
Account ownership, learner age guidelines, and password safety:
Independent registration requires age 18 or above. Learners aged 13–17 must have parent or guardian authorization. Under-13 accounts are not supported; schools must contact the operator before institutional use.
You can register with a unique username and password. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. Never share passwords or OTP codes with others.
We strongly advise setting up at least one recovery channel (security questions, SMS phone verification, or Google OAuth) to avoid losing access to your learning progress.
Certificates and rankings require real, meaningful names. Cartoon or anime characters, fake handles, spam patterns, animals, places, and programming keywords are blocked by automated validation. One real account per learner; duplicate accounts or bot automation to manipulate XP are prohibited.
3. Code Execution & Sandboxing
Rules governing the in-browser WebAssembly Python runtime:
Execution occurs in an isolated browser Web Worker on an independent runner origin. You agree not to attempt to craft scripts designed to exploit browser memory or escape the execution sandbox.
Programs enforce a 5-second active execution budget and 120-second input wait. Suspended tabs or browser memory pressure may interrupt sessions; always keep offline copies of critical scripts.
4. Cloud Drive & Storage Fair Use
Capacity limits, file formats, and moderation policies for PyLabs Drive:
Individual files are capped at 10 MiB. Each learner has a 100 MiB retained storage allowance covering active files, pending uploads, and items queued for deletion.
Accepted types include Python scripts, notebooks, datasets (JSON/CSV), documents, web assets, and archives. Uploaded files are not scanned for malware; execute untrusted files with caution.
You may not store or share malware, pirated code, copyrighted assets without authorization, or unlawful material. Abusive accounts may be throttled or suspended.
Shared files open in read-only mode for named recipients. Recipients can report inappropriate content; administrators may quarantine files or revoke sharing privileges upon review.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Clarity on what belongs to you versus what belongs to the platform:
You retain 100% intellectual property rights to all code, text notes, and files you create or upload on PyLabs. We claim zero ownership or licensing rights over your work.
Course lessons, quiz items, challenge solutions, branding, and custom UI components are protected by copyright. Automated scraping or commercial redistribution is strictly prohibited.
6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Educational scope and warranty disclaimers:
Service availability and capacity depend on cloud deployment health and your local device. No explicit uptime guarantee is created by this platform. Always maintain offline copies of your important scripts.
Quiz and course certificates describe unproctored educational completion based on server-scored assessments. In-browser exercise completion reflects self-reported practice and is not independent proof of professional software engineering competency. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law prohibits from exclusion.
7. Modifications to Terms
How updates to our terms are communicated:
We may revise these Terms periodically. When meaningful updates occur, we will notify learners through our in-app notification center and update the "Last updated" timestamp at the top of this document. Continued use of PyLabs following published changes constitutes agreement to the modified terms.
8. Questions & Support Contact
Have questions regarding these terms or moderation decisions?
Contact Mahadi Hasan, the platform administrator, through WhatsApp Support. This support channel remains available after you delete your account. You can also use the feedback widget while using the site. Send a brief description of your request; never send passwords, SMS codes or identity documents through feedback. Support will explain any identity verification needed through an appropriate channel.
